Want to get fit but don’t know where to start? Here is an easy and fun way to begin a life of activity and health. How do I get started? It’s easy :
  • Call 602-261-8765 and ask for a Del Webb Fitness Awards Log.

  • Engage in one of the activities listed in the log on a regular basis.

  • Send your log back to receive an attractive patch that you can sew on your favorite sportswear.

For each additional sport you complete you’ll receive a bar to be sewn under the DWFA patch. Collect them all and you’re on your way to better health!

Here are some tips for starting any exercise program:

  • Make a commitment. Make exercise a priority, mentally and emotionally.

  • Work out in the morning if possible. Studies have shown that people who exercise in the morning stick with their program more consistently.

  • Choose activities you enjoy. You’ll be more motivated to stick with a program if you are having fun and seeing results.

  • Set realistic goals. Motivate yourself by setting up a series of attainable short-term goals that will lead to completion of your overall goal.

  • Reward yourself. The promise of consistent rewards can help motivate you to stick with your fitness program.

Don’t wait. It’s never too late to benefit from regular activity no matter what your age. Talk to your doctor. He/She will most likely be supportive of your efforts to improve your fitness.
